At WLAC, Community Connection brings participants together through shared creativity and purpose. From candle making and creative cooking to photo challenges, woodworking, gardening —and everything in between—our sessions spark imagination, fine‑tune motor skills, and build lasting friendships.

Each activity is tailored to individual preferences and delivered in line with every participant’s support plan.

But Community Connection goes beyond crafting: our makers have lent their talents to projects that touch lives near and far. In 2024, we hand‑sewed “Cuddle Hearts” for Mater Mothers’ Hospital’s Neonatal Critical Care Unit in Brisbane and crafted cuddle buddies for Proserpine Hospital—bringing comfort and smiles to families in need.

Our dedicated Catering Crew supports local groups and businesses with delicious, handcrafted menus—available onsite or at your chosen venue. This professional service helps us deepen community ties and generate ongoing support for our programs.
